The Spinto Band released their latest album Moonwink this month, but they gave us an early preview of the new songs when they stopped by our Pop Machine studio for an MOKB/SIRIUS Blog Radio session. The album has been met with mixed reviews, but facing a long lay-off and a lot of pressure to follow their exciting 2005 debut Nice And Nicely Done it might only be fair to say that the band has played it safe with this release. They’ve built a more global audience, with UK distrobution, and found stabilty by signing to Park The Van Records this year, so good things are sure to follow. The band played an exciting show at Radio Radio the night before. We’re always a little nervous scheduling a session the morning after a big show, but The Spinto Band, wholesome lads that they are, were up bright and early and ready to work.
